Folder Locker : Visual Basic

  Do you share your PC with other users? Do you need to ensure that no one is able to view your private files? Then the Folder Locker is what you need. It lets you securely LOCK your files and ensure that your data remains visible only to YOU. This program is light on resources and highly efficient.

How does Folder Locker work?

This program asks you to specify the folder whose contents you want to secure. This is because the program modifies the access permissions of the folder that contains the file(s) you want to secure. Once you’ve selected the appropriate folder, just click on the LOCK button. The folder’s permissions will be modified instantly. If anyone tries to open the locked folder, an error message will be displayed. You can see this happening in the above video. Now, if you want to unlock the folder, just open the Folder Locker program, select the folder you want to unlock and then click on UNLOCK. That’s it !!! Simple, isn’t it?

The steps involved in using this program to lock a folder are :

a) Start the Folder Locker program.

b) Click on the BROWSE button and select the appropriate folder.

c) Click on the LOCK button. The folder will be locked instantly.

Similarly, the steps involved in unlocking a folder are :

a) Start the Folder Locker program.

b) Click on the BROWSE button and select the appropriate folder.

c) Click on the UNLOCK button. The folder will be unlocked instantly.
